Spilling the Beans

Just thought that I would let everyone know, Josh and I are expecting our fourth child. I am due Febuary 15th so I have a ways to go. We are all very excited, especially Kendra. The fam is hoping for a girl, but I want another boy. I didn't think that I would ever say that, but I would love another boy. I have been sick the last couple of days so I am sure that I have about six weeks of morning sickness ahead of me, jut once couldn't I have gone without it! Other than that I feel good, just really tired. Josh thinks that I am pretty crazy for wanting to go to bed at 9:00 every night, but I just can't even keep my eyes open. I will keep ya posted and maybe, just maybe post a picture or two of my growing belly, (so much for loosing weight huh?)

Daddy

I know that I am a day late, but what the hey. We had a great Father's day! I got up early and made a nice big breakfast. This is pretty much a Sunday tradition in our family, (at least it is when we go to church at 1:00pm.) I let Josh sleep, but Preston woke him up with his wonderful screaming. We played Old Maid with the kids and just enjoyed eachother. After church we had Kevin and Mandy over and we ate a delicious dinner and then played games. Kendra and Ethan hadn't seen their friends Eli and Owen in a very long time and were SO excited. They had a blast and I don't remember any of them crying and I only found about three water spots throughout the house.

Now to talk about my hubby, I am lucky to have a husband that does so much! Josh is a great dad and has come A VERY LONG way in the last 7 1/2 years. Josh is always willing to help me out around the house, he rarely complains, he is a great cook, he is a pretty good Mr. Fix-it. What is really great about Josh is that he understands that his role as a father is the number one job in his entire life. He honors his priesthood and leads our family. He knows that his responsibility is to provide for his family and not just monetarily but is so many other ways. I am eternally thankful to have Josh as the father of my children.

I have to add that I was raised by a great father also! I wish I had a picture of him to put on here, but I don't. When I think of my childhood my memories are filled with thoughts of my family. My mother, my father, my siblings and extended family. My family was the center of my life and always has been. My dad is a great teacher and I distinctly remember many long talks with him. He taught me to work hard, to love the Lord, and to love and cherish my family, he is always encouraging and tries to see things from another's perspective. My dad was gone a lot when I was young, he worked A LOT of hours. But I have never doubted his love for me or how much he always WANTED to be with his children. I know that he worked hard in order to provide for us and he too understands his eternal role as a father.

I am grateful to have two wonderful father's in my life and I thank them for all of the love and support that they give me in ALL that I do.

Picture time

Preston is ushually nothing but trouble. Ethan was so sweet and cuddly and content to just sit most of the time. NOT PRESTON! This is him with the treasure that he found in the garbage. I KNOW, GROSS! I had just shared this yogurt with him and then threw it away. Well, apparently he wasn't done, he walked right over and while I wasn't looking made a mess with what was left which, thank goodness, wasn't very much. If you can tell, he also smeared it all over the dishwasher and in his hair too.

Ethan's favorite way to watch TV. He likes to think that he is a monkey, he is so silly.

Aren't they so adorable. I fell in love with these outfits and HAD to have them. I didn't get them in the picture, but the have cute matching brown leather sandels too.

ATTACK DAD!!!

It has been a while since I posted any pictures on here so I thought that I better get with it. Tomorrow Josh and I are speaking in church, didn't I JUST do that? So yeah we have had a super busy week and we speak tomorrow on top of it. Doesn't it always work out that way? Right now I am simply procrastinating, my very favorite thing to do.

On another note, I have also started working out. I have been needing to get my butt in gear for quite some time, but just hadn't quite made it that far yet. Sara, the girl that I carpool with, offered to give me her eliptical as she had gotten a treadclimber for christmas so I was pumped, it is my favorite machine! So I have been getting up early, and then also getting on it in the evening after the kids are asleep. It has been good for me and I feel like I have more energy during the day. I hope that I can keep it up, when I build up a little stamina and don't look so pathetic I am going to start running in the morning. I saw an old friend of mine last Sunday and she looked AMAZING! And she just had a baby about 5 months ago. She has totally inspired me, yes Emily, I think that you are awesome. She works out and eats healthy and I am totally jealous :) So I am on a mission to get in better shape. I am determined to loose a few pounds before Josh and I have another baby, so I would say that is pretty big motivation. Well, I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer, even though it has been in the sixties and rainy here for weeks!

Summer, Summer, Summer

I don't really have anything that I wanted to share but I thought I would wish everyone a happy summer. Last week Ethan Graduated from preschool. He was very excited to graduate and we'll see how busy he keeps himself this summer. One of his preschool teachers had been very attatched to Ethan and had a really hard time saying goodbye to him. Miss Melanie was her name and her husband was actually Josh's 6th grade teacher. Kendra is in her last week of school and will be done on Friday. The kids are very happy that summer is almost here and Kendra keeps chanting, "Summer, summer, summer" apparently it is from High School Musical 2. I am just hoping that the kids don't drive Josh CRAZY this summer. I am going to try and have activities ready for them to do, I know that it is going to be so hard for me to be working while they are at home. It isn't so bad when they are gone at school all day, but now they will be home and I won't get to take them swimming and to the park and all of the fun stuff that we would normally fill our hot summer days with. Oh well, someday Josh will be done with school and then I will never have to work again. (That is what I keep telling myself at least.) If anyone has any good summer activites that I can prepare ahead of time for the kids to do at home I would appreciate any ideas.
